CONGRATULATIONS
TO THE WILLIAMSBURG SAMPLER BED AND BREAKFAST
ON THE OCCASION OF ITS 20TH ANNIVERSARY
WHEREAS, this Eighteen-Century
plantation style home, originally built as a private residence in
the year of the bicentennial, became an elegant Bed and Breakfast in
February 1988; and
WHEREAS, in 1995 Virginia Governor
George Allen proclaimed the Williamsburg Sampler Bed and Breakfast
as the “Inn of the Year”; and
WHEREAS, in 1998 the Virginia House of
Delegates congratulated the Williamsburg Sampler B&B on its receipt
of a US Registered Trademark for their famous “Skip Lunch®
Breakfast;” and
WHEREAS, over the years, the
Williamsburg Sampler B&B has been host to many famous people to
include, Knut Vollebaek (former Norway Ambassador), Arno Schmidt
(former Waldorf-Astoria Executive Chef), Richard DiBella (former Fox
News Producer), Ray Ramano (“Everybody Loves Raymond” actor), and
Gary Alan (HGTV host); and
WHEREAS, Mr. Ike Sisane, proprietor of
the Williamsburg Sampler B&B, is a thirty year resident of the State
of Virginia, and a twenty-five year resident of the City of
Williamsburg; and
WHEREAS, the Williamsburg Sampler B&B
will celebrate this milestone anniversary with various promotional
contests throughout the year.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Jeanne Zeidler, Mayor
of the City of Williamsburg, am honored to extend congratulations to
Mr. Sisane on the very special twentieth anniversary year. The City
of Williamsburg is fortunate to count the Williamsburg Sampler Bed
and Breakfast among our premier lodging properties and we thank you
for the warm hospitality you have extended to guests of our City.
