The Eliza Reynolds chamber is named after a precocious 14 yr old girl who cross stitched a beautiful wall hanging for her chamber room in 1815. Eliza’s sampler is proudly displayed on the wall of the room. She also wrote a poem about the significance of the cross stitch:
With conscious truth and honor all
My actions let me guide -
And give no fear but that of ill
No other but that of pride ….
-Eliza Reynolds
Your stay in the Eliza Reynolds chamber will be both charming and historical. A luxuriously appointed king sized carved mahogany bed awaits your arrival, relax in the steam shower and then retire one to one of the downstairs parlors to enjoy your favorite book or partake in a quick game of billiards in the basement game room.
