Well he's funny, charming, knows how to cook but most importantly he's a good host. As part of Staycation Week, on the show if there's anyone who knows what it's like to kick back and relax right here at home, it's Mr. Ike Sisane himself. You're about to meet him in this week's I Am Hampton Roads. I'm originally from New York City, but of course you can't tell that from my accent. Ike Sisane is quite the character. June 21st I'm going to be 79. Now everybody out there you can send me a birthday card please. When he's not cracking jokes you'll most likely find him in the kitchen, a place in his house that at one point he wasn't too to familiar with. And I had never cooked before. You didn't? Never. Never cooked? And what I did was I watched television and I watched the cooking shows. Through the years I established myself as a good cook. He also established himself as a good host. After his wife passed away Ike was left to take care of the family's business they opened more than 20 years ago, a bed and breakfast known as the Williamsburg Sampler. What may seem like a regular house on the outside, turns into a playground of relaxation on the inside. As you walk in you immediately feel comfortable and relaxed. We start of by making muffins. The aroma just crawls up to their rooms, underneath their doors so their anxious to come down and eat. We've had Nixon's photographer stay here. Charles Dickens’ great granddaughter stayed here. Mountain climbers. We had oil riggers. There's a million stories outside and they all collect here and they all tell the story. We have an entertainment area and we have a 60 inch TV. We have a slot machine that we provide tokens for so it's just for fun. And we have a pool table. And then we have another area in there where they can sit and watch TV. We have the Lord Nelson Chamber. We have a picture of Lord Nelson in there. Eliza Reynolds. We have an 18th century cross stitch by this little girl Eliza Reynolds. King Williams, we have King Williams and Mary from William and Mary. Captain John Smith - Pocahontas, that's right. Or if there muscular and strong like I am. Like to work out like you. They can work out like me. They can go out to the gym. We have a full gym. We have a sauna. We have weightlifting. We have a bike. A treadmill. And in the meantime they can watch TV while they're doing that or listen to music. A lot of them walk in as strangers and by the time they leave they're friends. It's the best location anyone can live in. My name is Ike Sisane and I am Hampton Roads. He's great. Of course you can find more information about the Williamsburg Sampler on our website TheHamptonRoadShow.com. Also want to mention you heard Ike's birthday is next week, and he shares it with Jeremy Wheeler so Ike, I'm pretty sure he's watching right now, I want to wish him a very early Happy Birthday from all of us here on the show. So have Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday Ike. He said he learned how to cook by watching TV and you can to.
